IMG for AI is private by design. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data — everything happens locally on your Mac.
Data we collect
None. IMG for AI has no user accounts, no analytics, and no telemetry. We never see which images you optimize or how you use the app.
On-device processing
All image optimization happens entirely on your Mac. Your images are never uploaded anywhere. The app has no network access at all.
Permissions
IMG for AI does not request Input Monitoring, Accessibility, or any other privacy-sensitive permission. Drag detection uses macOS’s public global mouse-event API, which requires no permission for mouse events.
Files
Optimized images are written to a temporary folder on your Mac so you can copy or drag them out. They are removed when you clear the tray or quit the app.
Third parties
IMG for AI contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
